I am the founder and Chief Clinical Information Officer at OneMedicalTechnologies (formerly Rescon Technologies). I am a medical practitioner, technologist and human performance specialist with over 25 years of practical and clinical experience (emergency medicine, GP, sports and exercise medicine and informatics). I hold a doctorate in physiology, anatomy and genetics from the University of Oxford, where I was previously the director of the Science and Medicine of Athletic Performance programme. I also have medical and clinical biochemistry degrees from Otago University (New Zealand) and multiple post-graduate qualifications. I have held technical, management and leadership roles in industry and academia, including Technical Lead for Human Performance and Medical Innovation at QinetiQ and Military Medicine Theme Leader for the Haldane Spearman Consortium. I am an Independent Scientific Advisor for the Defence Sciences Advisory Council. I have published widely, presented internationally in the areas of human performance and genetics, communication, molecular biology, and medicine, and I hold patents across multiple medical areas. I am an expert in systems design, and embedding technology to support medical needs and individual and group wellbeing. I engage with multiple stakeholders to identify needs and spearhead the development of systems to support the wellness and safety of groups. Such as; people with long term health conditions, severe and mild learning difficulties and children with serious health problems. I am passionate about integrating support technology into healthcare, social care and the workplace. Outside of work I love spending time with my family, doing DIY, gardening and a bit of running!
