Rachel Beverley-Stevenson – Chief Executive

I am the Chief Executive of OneMedicalGroup with a passion for NHS health and wellbeing focused out of hospital care delivery and solutions. My journey in the NHS started in 2004 co-founding, with my dad, OneMedicalLtd, (now OneMedicalProperty), a healthcare estates specialist from our family farm in 2004. Focusing on designing, building and owning care estate that was designed around patients, staff and community, OneMedicalProperty quickly grew and inspired me to take the approach of patient centred design to NHS healthcare delivery joining forces with likeminded GPs in 2006 to set up One Medicare LLP, (now OnePrimaryCare). In 2013, the GP owners of One Medicare LLP decided to exit with myself and my fellow shareholders, bringing both arms of the organisation together under the OneMedicalGroup banner. In 2017, we set up OneWorkforce, a specialist health professional focused training, development and consultancy arm. With the advent of Primary Care Networks, (PCN), and a move to more integrated working, OneWorkforce, (OWF), has expanded into PCN support and development, data driven workforce design and leadership programmes that cover multiple providers and care systems. 2017 was a busy year, with the launch of a second new arm to the group; OneWellness (OWN). Starting life in February 2017 as a consumer-based, whole person approach to health and wellness from a purpose designed centre in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, OWN has now evolved to support our continued commitment to improve the health and wellbeing of all our Flock with the launch of our Education@OneWellness Academy alongside our established Fitness@OneWellness and Therapies@OneWellness offerings. Education@OneWellness provides all training and development for our teams including Wellness Retreats, Group Inductions, Special Interest Seminars and our unique Wellbeing Care Model programme. The aim is to spread this resource wider across our healthcare partners to help meet the aims of the Long Term Plan through supporting individuals in understanding and managing their own care and giving them strategies and tools to live their healthiest live, and “be a better you”. This is something I feel very passionate about having experienced the benefits that exercise and healthy lifestyle tools give me in what is a pretty full on job! I believe strongly that physical and mental health go hand in hand and am excited to see how our OMG approach to Wellbeing spreads across our flock and wider. This vision of “improving lives” is something shared by our whole Board and Executive Team and indeed by our whole Flock. We share a vision of giving people the right tools to live “healthier lives”, something that drove us to acquire Rescon Technologies in May 2019, our fifth arm. The LincUs platform, the core product within Rescon’s software portfolio, was designed around vulnerable service users and giving them and their carers and families easy access to simple tools that help the communicate how they are feeling and provides curated content to help them live healthier lives. This approach to developing easy and accessible healthcare tools is something that is very important to our whole group. Since joining us, Rescon has been re-branded as OneMedicalTechnologies and LincUs has expanded to include MultiWay Video functionality with inbuilt, secure Chat and screen sharing, something care teams have asked for and has made great strides in the maternity sector, where technology has been limited in its use and application, through LincUs Maternity. The development road map for LincUs and its sister product RAVEN, a data visualisation product suite, is designed around improving patient and staff pathways to enable better health outcomes for all, across all of health, social care and the voluntary and community services Sector. All 5 divisions come together to deliver care, (OnePrimaryCare), and enable it, (OneMedicalProperty, OneWellness, OneWorkforce and OneMedicalTechnologies). Supported by our central support team at our Bank Top Farm office in Leeds, they share our vision of Improving Lives of those using and delivering our services. Our vision is underpinned by our values of ‘Putting People First’ and ‘Working Together’ for a ‘Better Future’. I truly believe that together we can do so much more, hence our mascot Uno the Sheep and our slogan "WeAreOne". Uno reflects our origins from a farm in Yorkshire and our family values. He represents our Flock and the NHS we serve. Alongside our group values, my personal values of courage and kindness are something I strive to demonstrate to our Flock and to support them all to deliver high quality, safe, valued services, often in the face of challenges such as rising demand, pressure on resources and an ever changing political environment. Putting all of that to one side and keeping our people; patients, staff, communities and stakeholders, front and centre is core to this success. Outside of work, I am a Trustee of William Merritt Disabled Living Centre and an active Scout Leader for 1st Burley-in-Wharfedale Beavers! I am a Zumba, HIIT & kettlebell addict which is handy as I am rather partial to chocolate and Gin!
