Nigel Gray - Associate Consultant

I am an NHS leader with significant experience as both a provider and commissioner of Health and Social Care. As an Accountable Officer of a CCG for five years, which I set up. I am passionate about shaping future services and improving health outcomes for patients. Throughout my career, I have remained active as a Registered Nurse, maintaining my professional registration and I currently work part time for the CQC as Specialist Advisor.

I have an established reputation for successful delivery, for enabling innovative conversations, applying practical solutions to complex challenges and for delivering change and transformation. I am driven by making a difference to the health service and I have a non-traditional approach to leadership, focusing on getting things done.

I am a strong believer in learning from best practice from around the UK and further afield, and applying this locally. Subsequently, I have developed an interest in Population Health Management. This has enabled me to help clinical teams to work together, exploring areas such as mutual accountability and developing new health and care service offers.

Outside of work I love to travel and have recently discovered a passion for scuba diving! I am an enthusiastic member of a choir and we perform at local events, and enjoy jogging when I can find the time!
