What to Expect – Corby Urgent Care Centre

Our specialist urgent care team is here when you need help, advice and treatment for most common injuries and illnesses that are urgent but not life-threatening.

Check In – You will be asked to provide our patient navigators with information about yourself and your reason for attendance. Once completed, just take a seat and wait for your name to be called.

Assessment – You will be seen by one of our clinicians who will assess the urgency of your illness or injury. If you do not require treatment you may be given self-care advice or redirected to a more appropriate service.

Treatment – If you do require treatment you will be seen by one of our clinicians. The speed at which you will be seen, will depend on your urgent care needs.

Outcome – When you are ready to leave, you may be provided with self-care information and aftercare advice. We encourage all patients to tell us about their experience so please speak to any staff member if you wish to provide feedback.

At Corby Urgent Care Centre we can help with:

Illness: For patients who need treatment for common illness conditions that are too urgent to wait for a GP appointment but do not need emergency treatment at an A&E department.

Injuries: We are able to attend to minor wounds including lacerations and burns. There are X-Ray facilities on site and we can plaster cast or fit a splint to support your injury.  We will also refer you for follow up treatment if necessary.

Remember: Hospital emergency departments are for patients requiring emergency care for serious and life-threatening conditions. Please use the emergency department services carefully so it can best support those who need it most.
