Our journey so far

As we reach our 15th year of working with the NHS we have gained a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience of creating, building and delivering healthcare services, working with local communities and collaborating with partners.

In 2020 we created the OMG Foundation, which is underpinned by our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy and how we are playing our part in meeting the challenges that face healthcare and local communities over the next 15 years. In the midst of COVID-19 this is an important time to be supporting the local communities we work within, now more than ever.

This Foundation brings together our passion of supporting our local communities, developing business innovation, and providing leadership and advocacy to our health economy.

We called for volunteers from across the group to form a Steering Group, who would shape the future and lead the Foundation to success.

Sarah Everest-Ford, our Strategy Director, held interviews and selected 5 colleagues from across our group to drive our Foundation forward.

Carly Woodward from Sheffield Walk-in Centre, Chelsea Almond from Bank Top Farm Support Centre, Ruby Sandhu from our Clinical Pharmacist team, Rak Nathwani from Corby Urgent Care Centre, Tim Van-Zyl from Bank Top Farm Support Centre, and Sarah Everest-Ford our board level champion are working as a team to look after the project management, communications and marketing, and the finances of the Foundation.

Over the past few months the Steering Group has been meeting virtually to focus on how OMG engages with our fellow colleagues to promote our Foundation, local charities, causes and also those who wish to sponsor our work. Our first year is all about beginning to support our local communities across a variety of locations in the UK.

We are launching the Foundation in early 2021 so watch this space for updates on our progress.
