On Thursday the 24th July, the team at Minehead Medical Centre welcomed Rachel Gilmour, Member of Parliament for Tiverton and Minehead, to the practice last week for a visit alongside representatives from the NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB).
During the visit, the MP toured the service, met with staff, and gained a first-hand insight into the delivery of primary care in the local area. It was a valuable opportunity for the team to showcase their hard work and improvements.
The visit was organised in collaboration with NHS Somerset, which works closely with GP practices across the region to help shape health services.
Sukeina Kassam, Director of Primary Care at NHS Somerset ICB, said: “We were pleased to meet with Rachel Gilmour MP to discuss a range of topics relating to local NHS healthcare that we know are of utmost importance to Rachel and her constituents. The meeting at Minehead Medical Centre also offered the opportunity for Rachel to meet practice staff and talk about the improvements to services over the past 18 months.”
We would like to thank Rachel Gilmour MP, for taking the time to visit and have meaningful conversations with our team and the ICB.
