News – New Appointment System Coming April 27th: GP Triage
We’ve been listening to your feedback and we are improving how we review medical requests and book appointments.
From Monday 27th April 2026, we will be introducing a new AI-powered system called GP Triage.
What does this mean for patients?
GP Triage is a an online request system that helps you contact the practice for both medical and administrative requests. It works in a very similar way to our current system, Accurx, and is quick and easy to use. Once you send your request, it is reviewed automatically using AI first. This helps save GP time and allows doctors to spend more time seeing patients. All requests are still overseen by our clinical team.
What happens next?
After submitting your request, the practice will review it and contact you with the next steps. This may be an appointment, advice, or directing you to the most appropriate service.
How do I use it?
When it goes live on the 27th April, you will be able to access the service through our website:
-
Visit: onemedicalgroup.co.uk/surgeries/minehead-medical-centre
-
Click ‘Appointments’ → ‘Submit a request’
-
Select ‘Book an appointment’
-
Follow the steps and answer the questions about your problem
The system will be available during practice opening hours.
If you have access to the internet, please use our online system. If you’re unable to use online services, please call us or speak to reception, and we can help you submit a request or submit one on your behalf.
If you are housebound, receiving palliative care or need additional support in accessing the surgery please identify yourself and your needs to our reception team so we can ensure you are supported in accessing our service.
Thank you for your continued support
