News – New Healthcare Contract Begins at Minehead Medical Centre

Minehead Medical Centre has been a valued part of the OneMedicare family for the past two years, and we are pleased to continue delivering primary care services under a new three-year healthcare contract, which begins today on Friday 23rd January 2026.

Our services will not be disrupted and patients can continue to access care as usual. Please continue to request appointments through our online triage system if possible. We also offer a range of other health services including:

  • Respiratory and Spirometry clinics
  • Diabetic clinics
  • NHS Health Check clinics
  • Hypertension checks
  • Blood clinics
  • Directly bookable First Contact Physiotherapy appointments.
  • Children and Young People’s Mental Health Link Worker clinics
  • Access to Health Coaches, our Complex Care Nurse, Village Agents, and an Occupational Health Worker.

As part of the new contract we are also recruiting for two new roles at the practice: A Community Matron and a GP with an Interest in Palliative Care. If you or someone you know might be interested, you can find out more here:
