New Contract for Minehead Medical Centre Commences
We are delighted to announce that as of today, OneMedicare’s new healthcare contract to deliver primary care services at Minehead Medical Centre has officially commenced.
The contract was awarded in August following a competitive and thorough procurement process led by NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB). It is a three-year contract starting today, 23 January 2026, with an option to extend for a further two years subject to mutual agreement.
This marks an important milestone following a two-year caretaking period that began in January 2024. Since stepping in, our team has worked tirelessly to stabilise and improve services at the practice. These efforts were formally recognised in August 2025 when the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated the service as Good.
Alongside this, we remain committed to improving services at Minehead Medical Centre and we will continue to listen closely to patient feedback, working proactively to make meaningful improvements that support better access, care, and experience for our community.
