Our Experience
OneMedical Group played an instrumental role in establishing the Leeds Community Dermatology Collaborative, bringing together community, primary care and secondary care partners to develop a sustainable model for dermatology services across Leeds.
Through collaborative working with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and local healthcare partners, the Collaborative supports improved patient access, streamlined pathways and better integration between community and hospital-based care.
Delivering High-Quality Patient Care
Our specialist Leeds community dermatology service combines experienced clinical leadership, effective referral and treatment pathways, and robust clinical governance to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.
This approach has delivered strong performance against key access standards, including:
-
100% performance against key access targets
-
2 working days triage turnaround
-
18 weeks treatment pathway target achieved
Education and Workforce Development
Alongside clinical service delivery, we are committed to developing the future dermatology workforce.
Working in partnership with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Leeds, we have supported more than 100 medical students through community dermatology placements since March 2025. Our clinicians have also delivered education to more than 400 healthcare professionals, helping to build confidence and expertise in dermatological diagnosis and management.
Our dermatology colleagues actively support colleagues across OneMedical Group’s primary care and urgent care services too, providing education on dermatological presentations, diagnosis and referral pathways. This includes training delivered to teams such as Bracknell Urgent Care Centre, helping to strengthen clinical knowledge and improve patient care across the wider healthcare system.
Supporting the Wider Healthcare System
Through education, partnership working and clinical excellence, we are helping to increase dermatology capability across primary and community care.
Through the services we provide, we are supporting healthcare professionals by creating opportunities for learning and development, taking pressure off hospitals by delivering care closer to our communities and ultimately helping to ensure patients can benefit from high-quality dermatology care both now and in the future.
