Employee Spotlight – Michael Good, Specialist Paramedic and Frailty Lead
Michael Good is a highly experienced Advanced Specialist Paramedic bringing over 28 years of paramedic experience to his role, including nearly a decade within the primary and urgent care sectors.

His OneMedical Group journey began at Sheffield Walk-in Centre, before joining Westgate Surgery as a locum in 2019. In 2020 Michael accepted the position of Specialist Paramedic and Frailty lead at Westgate Surgery on a permanent basis, a role he still holds today.
Michael has demonstrated a continuous commitment to clinical development, going on to complete his Level 7 Independent Prescribing module. Michael also holds key leadership responsibilities as the Safeguarding Deputy Lead too.
Recent Highlights 🙌
Michael's clinical repertoire is broad and hands-on, ranging from conducting ad hoc ward rounds at a local residential home to performing joint injections through a dedicated weekly clinic and home visits. One of his recent highlights includes proactively diagnosing osteoporosis in a 58-year-old patient who presented with few obvious risk factors beyond asthma and steroid use. It is precisely this kind of proactive, life-changing prevention work that drives him professionally.

Outside of his clinical work, Michael leads a busy and active lifestyle saying: “My hobbies are photography, I used to be a professional photographer with over 10 years' experience, I love travelling and water activities. I'm a very active person, and I cycle to work, and I also cycle or walk on my home visits. On a Tuesday evening during the summer months as the end of the working day approaches, I look longingly at the river outside my window, as that's where I usually go paddle boarding with my friends."
Michael always goes the extra mile, whether it's using his photography skills to showcase the surgery and its surroundings, or giving up his time to attend community engagement events. Above all, Michael has such positive energy, and he is a shining example of our values in action. 👏
